Carolina Panthers All-Decade Team

In a decade that saw the Carolina Panthers go through one of the worst and best seasons in franchise history, get a new owner, find stability at quarterback and a head coach until 2019, and see some of the greatest players come through, it was a very notable decade for the Panthers.

Let's take a look at who made the 2010-19 WFNZ All-Decade team.

OFFENSE

Quarterback: Cam Newton (2011-present)

Obviously, it’s Newton. The best quarterback in franchise history.

Running Back: Jonathan Stewart (2008-17)

The Panthers all-time leading rusher.

Running Back: Christian McCaffrey (2017-present)

In just a short three years, McCaffrey is already in the conversation for the best running back in franchise history.

Wide Receiver: Steve Smith, Sr. (2001-13)

He’s in the Panthers’ Hall of Honor for a reason

Wide Receiver: D.J. Moore (2018-19)

In just his second year, he’s going to eclipse close to 100 receptions and more than 1,100 yards receiving.

Tight End: Greg Olsen (2011-present)

Best trade in Panthers history got one of the best players in team history.

OFFENSIVE LINE:

Right Tackle: Taylor Moton (2017-present)

A difficult choice, but Moton gets the nod.

Right Guard: Trai Turner (2014-present)

Several time Pro Bowler has been an anchor on the offensive line this decade.

Center: Ryan Kalil (2007-18)

The center is the leader of the offensive line and he excelled in that role.

Left Guard: Andrew Norwell (2014-17)

An undrafted player that became a Pro Bowl guard.

Left Tackle: Jordan Gross (2003-13)

The greatest left tackle in team history.

SPECIAL TEAMS:

Kicker: Graham Gano (2012-present)

Gano has a franchise record of 28 consecutive field goals, including a 63 yarder to beat the Giants in 2018.

Punter: Michael Palardy (2016-present)

Nothing flashy, but very dependable.

Long Snapper: JJ Jansen (2009-present)

He hasn’t had a bad snap since 2010.

Returner: Ted Ginn, Jr. (2013, 2015-16)

Doesn’t have the greatest of hands, but can run like a deer and is very elusive.

DEFENSIVE LINE:

Defensive End: Charles Johnson (2007-17)

Despite never making the Pro Bowl, Johnson was the clear choice here.

Defensive Tackle: Kawann Short (2013-present)

When healthy, Short has proven to be one of the league’s top DTs.

Defensive Tackle: Star Lotulelei (2013-17)

A very productive stint in Carolina that shored up the middle with Short.

Defensive End: Mario Addison (2012-present)

Addison has led the team in sacks in each of the last four years.

SECONDARY:

Cornerback: Josh Norman (2012-15)

Struggled early in his career but turned into an All-Pro before leaving town.

Cornerback: James Bradberry (2016-present)

Bradberry has become a top corner in the league and will get a big pay day this offseason.

Safety: Kurt Coleman (2015-17)

Was instrumental in the Panther’s Super Bowl run in 2015.

Safety: Roman Harper (2014-15)

You could always count on Harper to be in the right place at the right time.

LINEBACKERS:

Middle Linebacker: Luke Kuechly (2012-present)

Routinely considered one of the best, if not the best, MLB in the NFL.

Outside Linebacker: Thomas Davis (2005-18)

A fan favorite for good reason.

Outside Linebacker: Shaq Thompson (2015-present)

Has been getting better with each passing year.
