The GM of the Carolina Panthers joined Kyle Bailey on the Clubhouse this afternoon as Kyle first asked Marty if he is optimistic that the 2020 season can get 100 percent completed during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"We have done everything that we can do starting with Mr. Tepper on down over the last four months to make this the safest environment for the players and staff," Hurney said.

Marty also said they as an organization have worked so hard to make this one of the safest places you can come to every day.

Kyle wanted to get Marty's explanation on why they cut longtime kicker Graham Gano and Marty responded: "You have to cut the roster down to 80 so that everyone can be in the building and we thought we had to make a decision on the kicker position right away, and we wanted to give Graham an opportunity to go elsewhere. Joey was in a tough situation last year and did well so we feel like he (Joey) will develop and get better which is why we made the decision."

Marty also discussed with Kyle the amount of youth on the team compared to the past few years stating: "We have gone from the 26th youngest team to the 12th youngest team in a single offseason so we all have to figure out how everything comes together, but it is all going to be about the process with Matt Rhule and Developing players every day whether it be rookies or veterans. This is all about getting better every day."
