The new voice of the Hurricanes joined Kyle Bailey on the Clubhouse to recap the Canes sweeping the Rangers in the Qualifying Round last night and officially moving into the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Mike first told Kyle that it's weird calling games in Raliegh through a TV monitor saying it's not the most ideal situation but they are making the most of the opportunity.

When it came to the main storyline of last night Kyle was shocked that James Reimer got the start at goalie over Petr Mrazek as Mrazek had been doing a very good job at goalie for games 1 & 2, but Kyle told Mike that after watching last night's performance he sees why Rod Brind'amour made the decision.

"You're probably going to need 2 goalies to make a run in the Stanley Cup Playoffs and with the team not playing meaningful hockey in the past 4 months, and Rod said that this was the plan all along to get both goalies in the series and James not only made the coaching staff look like geniuses he also put in one of the best goaltending performances in this team's history."

Mike also told Kyle and the viewers the main difference for this year's Canes team compared to last year is that this year's squad has a lot more depth and they have the parts together in each line and more talent across the board.
