Former NBA star, Delonte West has made headlines after disturbing videos of him were released on Monday following an apparent altercation where he was beaten up and then handcuffed.

West, 32,  looks distraught in the video and it seems as if he is on drugs or having some major mental issues.

West played in the NBA from 2004-12 for the Boston Celtics, Seattle Supersonics, Cleveland Cavaliers and Dallas Mavericks.

He attempted a comeback from 2013-15 where he played in the NBA G-League and China.

In a video filmed prior to his conversation on the sidewalk, you can see West knocked out in the street as a man beats him up.

Apparently Delonte West was seen getting beat up in the street this Morning. I went to school with him and it’s crazy to see just how his life has gone downhill since the NBA. pic.twitter.com/chm6Sbu9h6

According to TMZ Sports, West hit the man with a glass bottle at 9:45 AM and both men were bleeding when police arrived.

West has had legal and mental issues before.

He revealed in 2009 that he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and since he finished playing in the NBA in 2012, there have been many pictures surfacing throughout social media that seem to be West living on the streets.

West's former teammate, Jameer Nelson wrote on Twitter about the video.

“I’m sick today (sic) my stomach right now seeing the videos of Delonte,” Nelson wrote. "To answer everybody that’s reaching out to me about his situation… all we can do is pray for Him and his family and hope that he seeks the proper help. Mental illness is something that a lot of people deal with and don’t even know it, until sometimes it’s too late. I’m not sure what exactly is going on with Dwest but he knows I’m in his corner and will help him get through this.

Many NBA fans and fellow athletes on social media are calling for the NBA to help one of their former players seek some type of help.

I see a lot dumb comments where folks making fun of Delonte west... this is not a joking matter .... I’m going to figure out how I can help him.... he need to be in rehab or something...

West's former coach at St. Josephs, Phil Martelli wrote on Twitter that he plans on getting West help.

"Over the past several hours I have talked with many who are willing to help - please read and embrace Jameer’s wisdom," Martelli wrote. "We are reaching out to our basketball network to get the professional help Delonte needs. This is so very painful."

West reportedly earned up to $16 million throughout his career.

Now, in a sad turn of events, it seems like West has hit rock bottom.
