The Carolina Panthers should be holding rookie minicamps and OTAs right now, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic shutting the sports world down, fans are left speculating on how the Panthers roster will look.

Even with last month’s draft completed, there’s still the possibility of some late moves before training camp is tentatively scheduled to start.

WFNZ will take a look at each Carolina position over the next few weeks to see where each group stands.

QUARTERBACKS
Roster: Teddy Bridgewater; P.J. Walker; Will Grier.
Key losses: Cam Newton; Kyle Allen.
Notable moves: The Panthers are starting fresh at quarterback with their release of star Cam Newton in March, after nine seasons. Carolina signed Bridgewater to a three-year, $63 million deal and inked XFL quarterback Walker, who played under head coach Matt Rhule at Temple.
Outlook: Bridgewater is expected to slide into the starting role as Walker and Grier will battle for the backup job. Grier was the team's third-round pick in 2019 and started the final two games last season.

Bridgewater went 5-0 for the New Orleans Saints last year when he filled in for Drew Brees and is known for being a winner and rarely takes risks.

Walker was in the running for the XFL's MVP before the season was shut down due to coronavirus.

Overall expectations: With the Panthers in a rebuilding stage, Bridgewater should be sufficient, but he shouldn't be expected to be a superstar by any means.

Walker likely has the edge up on Grier in the backup role considering he just signed a two-year, $1.6 million deal, but Carolina easily could decide to keep three quarterbacks on the roster.
