After discussing it with the FNZheads on the radio, and at least three minutes of careful consideration, here is my All-Time 5 made up of Duke and UNC players....

PG- Phil Ford-- 3-time First-Team All-American and the maestro of the famed Four Corners. He averaged 19 points and six assists per game for his career.

Along about now in 1975, Phil Ford led the Tar Heels to victory in the ACC Tournament over the defending National Champion Wolfpack. I bought this mag at Jeff's Campus Confectionery on Franklin Street. pic.twitter.com/9Qz6Zb0sOr

SG- Michael Jordan-  Game winning shot in the title game as a Freshman and a National Player of the Year by the time he left UNC.  And of course, now known simply as The GOAT.

SF- Grant Hill-  The most versatile player I have ever seen in this rivalry. Won two titles and averaged 17 points, seven rebounds and six assists in his final year at Duke.

PF- Christian Laettner- The best college player I have ever watched.  He was A WINNER.  Four Final Fours and two titles and tons of game-winning shots.  Finished his career as the consensus National Player of The Year.

25 years ago today, Christian Laettner made every shot he took, including a game-winner at the buzzer, sending Duke to the Final Four. pic.twitter.com/L360DaAAOF

C- Tyler Hansbrough- This choice makes it 3-2 UNC on my all-time team.  Psycho T was relentless on the court.  He won a title, went to two Final Fours and finished unbeaten at Cameron Indoor Stadium.  He was a two-time Consensus First Team All American and a National Player of The Year.
