Trump golfs in New Jersey with NFL Hall of Famer Brett Favre

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- President Trump hit the links in New Jersey Saturday with NFL star Brett Favre at the Trump National Gold Club in Bedminster.

White House spokesman Brian Morgenstern said Trump and Favre spoke about the role sports should have in reopening the country. 

"Today President Trump played golf with legendary Hall of Fame quarterback Bret Favre," Morgenstern said. "They discussed the importance of sports as a critical unifying and uplifting part of the safe reopening of America."

Favre once played in New Jersey as a quarterback with the New York Jets.

Jets owner Woody Johnson is currently the U.S. ambassador to the United Kingdom.
