RocketMortgage FieldHouse will host some public events this summer

Cleveland's arena, Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, will serve as the home of Cavs and Monsters youth camps this July and August with high level health and safety protocols in place.

The arena has been closed since March due to COVID-19, and the suspension of the NBA season, cancellation of concerts, and halting of the AHL season.

The Cavs Academy’s Youth Summer Camp Tour and the Cleveland Monsters Street Hockey Series were initially cancelled due to COVID-19, but now both youth camps have restructured their formats to meet the State of Ohio’s regulations.

RocketMortgage FieldHouse will host the Cavaliers youth camps through a series of two-hour Skills Training Clinics throughout July and August. The new format brings a maximum of just 30 campers per session to the areana. in a "healthy, safe and controlled setting" where "non-contact drills" will be conducted.

The Monsters Street Hockey Series youth camp will take place on July 16th and 17th with two, one-hour sessions. The format for the hockey camp is a maximum of 40 kids in each session at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, with health and safety protocols also in place.
