Robby Anderson made it known he intends to test out free agency.

The New York Jets, however, are keen on keeping their wide receiver on board for the 2020 season. Anderson revealed the Jets are interesting in re-signing him to a new deal despite his eagerness to listen to other teams, according to Newsday's Bob Glauber.

"I know they’ve communicated that they do want me back,” Anderson said. “So, we’ve just got to see how it plays out. ... I don’t think they’ve gotten to numbers, but I know obviously they want to be at the table, and I think they’re planning to be at the table to keep me in-house.”

Anderson's next contract will likely warrant an increase from the $3.095 million he earned in 2019. Multiple reports indicated the New Jersey native is expected to seek a contract which pays Anderson anywhere from $10 million to $14 million each season.

At 26 years old, Anderson carries a high upside for interested teams. He ranked second among Jets' receivers with 779 yards on 52 receptions, adding five touchdowns.

In 2019, Anderson, a restricted free agent at the time, settled on a one-year deal. He likely won't take a discount to remain with New York, either.

"From a business perspective, why wouldn't I go out there and see what my value truly could be?," Anderson said in December. "Typically guys sign before they hit free agency. You know, they get locked up during the season because sometimes different reasons and prevent themselves from typical injuries. I have nothing to risk at this point."

General manager Joe Douglas reportedly made Anderson available ahead of last season's trade deadline "for the right price." The NFL's free agency period is set to begin on March 18, where Anderson will officially become an unrestricted free agent.

"I truly would hope I spend my career here and be like one of these guys, the all-time Ring of Honor players and all-time Jets," Anderson told NewYorkJets.com. "I would hope that is a reality, but it's a business and things have to fall into place and we have to come to an agreement."
