Richard Sherman has never been afraid to speak his mind and he didn't hold back Sunday night after word got out that the Patriots had signed Cam Newton to a one-year, incentive-laden deal worth up to $7.5 million.
Sherman called the contract "disgusting" in a tweet.
The 49ers cornerback believes the deal isn't right for Newton considering he was making over $20 million per year with the Panthers prior to being released this offseason.
Newton just turned 31 years old, but is coming off dealing with multiple injuries. The QB played in just two games last season.
