Another day, another trade rumor about Odell Beckham Jr. Since Beckham was acquired in March 2019, there have been multiple reports nationally about Beckham’s future in Cleveland involving him being traded or his alleged unhappiness with playing for the Browns.
But the most recent rumor last night came from an unexpected 'source,' Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Alex Wood.

@obj to the Patriots before the season is done. BANK IT!

Beckham Jr. immediately responded, scoffing at the rumor, and reminding fans that he has no plans to leave Cleveland any time soon.

Wood's tweet came after the news that Cam Newton would be going to New England to join the Patriots.

In April, Browns GM Andrew Berry said the organization is done addressing the rumors.

“As an organization, we really have addressed this several times at this point,” Berry said. “I really don’t think any more needs to be said about it.”

Chief strategy officer Paul DePodesta added, “I have no reason to believe he doesn't want to be here. Odell has been very good this offseason. He has been engaged with Kevin (Stefanski).”

To quiet skepticism on Monday night, OBJ wished Newton the best of luck on the next step in his NFL career.

Odell Beckham Jr. is expected to be ready for the start of training camp after off-season surgery in Februrary to repair a core muscle injury that he played through in 2019.

“Odell’s free and clear. He’s 100%. He’s looking real good,” Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said last week.

Beckham was limited or sidelined for practice starting in training camp last season, but did not miss a game, and finished second on the team behind Jarvis Landry with 74 catches for 1,034 yards. He also caught four touchdowns.
