As of now, it appears the NFL draft will go on as scheduled from April 23-25, but that isn't what some in the league want.
According to ESPN's Dianna Russini and Adam Schefter, the league's general manager subcommittee recommended to commissioner Roger Goodell on Tuesday that it be moved back due to COVID-19, but the league says it plans on sticking with the original schedule.
One thing that is clear is it will not be held in Las Vegas like was scheduled, but there's some uncertainty to how exactly it will go.
The GMs are concerned about not having enough time for "player physicals, gathering psychological testing, getting further verified information about the players and some teams having to conduct the draft from home." There's also a growing concern that teams in hard-hit areas would be at a competitive disadvantage.
There's still time for the league to change its mind, but as of now it appears like the draft will still take place in late April.
In other news, NFL teams received a memo Tuesday night saying all club facilities must remain closed through at least April 8.
