Does someone know something about the Patriots' future plans?
BetOnline.ag released odds on the Patriots' quarterback in 2021 and there was an interesting favorite -- Deshaun Watson. The Texans quarterback will be a free agent after the season, but if the two sides cannot agree on a long-term deal, it's likely Houston would place the franchise tag on him. In order for the Patriots to acquire him, it likely would need to be via trade.
Other quarterbacks scheduled to be free agents next season include Andy Dalton, Dak Prescott, Cam Newton, Ryan Fitzpatrick and Derek Carr.
Any one of these would likely mean the Patriots gave up on Jarrett Stidham after two years in the system.
