Like other sports, the NFL will look a lot different this coming season due to the coronavirus.
According to ESPN's Dan Graziano, the NFLPA held a conference call Thursday with team player reps and NFLPA medical director Thom Mayer to talk about protocols being discussed for the 2020 season.
Here were some of the highlights.
-- Players could be fined for "reckless" behavior away from the team facility, which could be things such as eating out in restaurants and using ride-share services like Uber or Lyft.
-- Wearable contract tracers could be worn to help identify who players who test positive interacted with.
-- Most team meetings will take place virtually and only small group meetings will be in person.
-- "Essential" team employees will only get access to facilities and it will be cleaned around the clock. Teams will also have to submit emergency-response plans regarding the virus.
-- Media interviews will be done virtually, not in person.
-- As it stands now, players will be tested every other day, but they are arguing it for it to happen every day.
-- Players will stay in their homes during training camp, not hotels like in the past.
Another call is reportedly scheduled for Friday with it being open to all players.
