8 Sports Stars Crushing the Dad Game

By Audacy

While they are most famous for their athletic skills, some celebrity athletes like Tom Brady and LeBron James are just as beloved for their parenting skills at home.

In honor of Father’s Day, here are seven sports stars who never drop the ball with their favorite teammates -- their kids!

Tom Brady

The six-time Super Bowl champion has a son, Benjamin, 9, and a daughter, Vivian, 6, with wife Gisele Bundchen, and shares son Jack, 11, with ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan. And while he could easily boast about his football skills on social media, you’re more likely to see Brady humble-brag about his three kids.

Brady is a four-time Super Bowl MVP and a three-time NFL MVP.

Stephen Curry

The Golden State Warrior is an All-Star when it comes to being on daddy duty with his three kids: daughters Riley, 6, and Ryan, 4, and one-year-old son, Canon.

Curry is a three-time NBA champion and a two-time league MVP.

LeBron James

The NBA legend may be known as "King James," but it’s his three kids, sons LeBron Jr., 14, and Bryce, 11, as well as four-year-old daughter, Zhuri, who really reign supreme.

James is a three-time NBA champion, a three-time NBA Finals MVP and a four-time league MVP.

Dwyane Wade

The former NBA star became a dad for the fourth time in 2018 when he and wife Gabrielle Union welcomed the birth of their daughter, Kaavia, via surrogate. In addition to his three sons from previous relationships, Wade also raises his nephew. There’s no question Wade’s paternal skills are still on point.

Wade was a three-time NBA champion, a one-time NBA Finals MVP and a 13-time All-Star.

Alex Rodriguez

When A-Rod isn’t photographed on the arm of fiancée Jennifer Lopez , the former Major League Ball player is busy being dad to his two daughters Natasha, 14, and Ella, 11. And since he’s often seen playing step-dad to Lopez’s 11-year-old twins, you can bet JLo isn’t the only one singing “I Luh Ya Papi.”

Rodriguez won the 2009 World Series and was a three-time American League MVP.

Cristiano Ronaldo

The soccer icon has been a father since having his mini-me son, Cristiano Jr., in 2010 at the age of 24. Seven years later, he welcomed twins - daughter Eva and son Mateo, via a surrogate. And in 2017, his girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez gave birth to the couple’s daughter, Alana. There’s no denying the family of six makes one gorgeous team.

Ronaldo has captured the Ballon d'Or five times and won the UEFA Champions League five times.

Braden Holtby

The Holtby children took center ice when father Braden captured his first Stanley Cup championship in 2018. Son Benjamin and daughter Belle joined in the celebrations with Braden and wife Brandi after the Washington Capitals eliminated the Vegas Golden Knights in the 2018 Stanley Cup Final.

Braden hails from the small town of Marshall, Saskatchewan. He spent his day with the Stanley Cup by parading the famous silver chalice among the town’s less than 600 residents.

Holtby is a four-time NHL All-Star and was awarded the Vezina Trophy for best goaltender in 2016.

Russell Wilson

He may be the highest paid player in the NFL, but it’s Wilson’s bond with his two-year-old daughter, Sienna Princess, and being a stepfather to wife Ciara’s son, Future Jr., that is priceless.

Wilson led the Seattle Seahawks to a Super Bowl XLVIII champion and is a six-time Pro Bowler.
